We also manufacture a larger model, the Bariatric Slyde, which is capable of transporting patients up to 800 pounds (362 kilograms). The Slyde has strong web handles that provide multi-point control for two to seven carriers.

Crafted from Durable Materials

Each Evacuation Slyde is crafted from high-quality corrugated polypropylene. Measuring 12 millimeters thick, the sled is sturdy and rigid, yet incredibly lightweight, designed for easy movement. In fact, the standard Slyde weighs only nine pounds, and the Bariatric Slyde weighs eleven pounds. The rugged frame allows for the transportation of heart monitors, first aid materials, and additional lifesaving equipment, which can be carried safely with the individual. The rope belay system comes with two carabiners and its own stairwell storage box, which can serve as an anchor point for the rope.
